The science

Can you really develop it?

Absolute pitch is rare but not mystical. Research suggests the window for natural acquisition closes around age 9 — but functional absolute pitch, a trained approximation, can be developed through consistent daily practice. The mechanism is association: your brain learns to pair a specific timbre and frequency with a conceptual label. Repetition deepens the neural pathway until identification becomes instinctive. Resona's sessions are calibrated for this — short, daily, consistent. The ear adapts faster than you think.
